Well, Hello There!

You’re probably like most people who are looking for a way to become financially free by investing your hard earned money.  You may have tried the stock market and invested in owning rental homes, but these are either very volatile (stocks) or they require a lot of work (rental homes).  

Is there another way to invest that offers better returns without the volatility?  Does passive investing really exist?

The answer is a resounding, “Yes!”  

I’m like you.  

I was a well paid consultant for a medical device company, and looking for ways to make my savings grow consistently over time. 

I worked with some physicians who made millions of dollars each year (literally!) but were working 60-80 hours a week and I didn’t envy them.  Yes, they were making a lot of money, but they were trading time for money.  I wanted to make my money work harder for me and get out of the time for money business.  

In my journey, I discovered it is possible for a high earning individual to reduce their taxes and eventually replace their work income with cashflow through alternative investments (outside of Wall Street).  This is true financial freedom when you can scale your passive cashflow without limiting your time. 

My Journey:

I bought my first rental house in 2006 and rented it out when I moved two years later.  After refinancing and getting $400 a month in cash flow, I was amazed. Later, I started buying houses in Ohio and my plan was to buy at least 30 homes, replace my income, and experience financial freedom.  

 

I reconnected with a family member who owned many multifamily apartments who told me, “Your plan sounds like a lot of work!  Also, everyone I know that has done multifamily wishes that they started sooner. Why don’t you just do multifamily?”  

 

I told him I didn’t have the money. He said, “You can raise the money!” 

 

This led to me starting a multifamily meetup group in the city where I live (Pasadena, CA) and partnering with an experienced syndicator (one who raises money to buy apartment buildings or other assets) and I contributed with some of the diligence and raising capital.  Being a multifamily syndicator is something I am proud of and I love helping others start investing in this asset class. 

The advantages of better returns, lower risk, tax advantages, and passive income make multifamily syndication the best investment available.
